Founder of Specialist Thermography Consultants
- Geoff Gatt -
As Founder of Specialist Thermography Consultants (STC), my electrical training started with an apprenticeship at Gladstone Power Station Commencing in Dec 1983. After attaining trade qualifications I then moved to Weipa as a Shift Electrician for Comalco . My next Career move was to Brisbane and a short stint in Electrical Wholesaler Sales then Contracting for about 10 years .
In 2001, I Started with a major Thermography Company (Brisbane based) as a Contract Thermographer.
Moving on to 2010, where an opportunity was made available to me to start as a private entity in this field
Established in 2010, Specialist Thermography Consultants Pty Ltd (STC) provides independent specialist consulting thermography services to hundreds of business across Queensland & New Zealand. My thermographers are highly trained electricians with Level 1 or 2 thermography qualifications. My technicians are based in South East Queensland, We cover all other areas at least twice per annum.
We use state of the art Flir infrared equipment to capture and interpret thermal images (or thermograms). A thermal inspection from STC provides instant results in the form of feedback from our trained professionals. Furthermore, they produce a report detailing crucial diagnostics of your specified electrical assets.
Regular thermography inspections of your electrical assets allow us to identify electrical faults before their failure becomes a costly concern for your business.
Having been part of the thermography industry since 2010, STC has become an essential source of thermal imaging across my client base. My thermal imaging services provide a compelling Return on Investment (R.O.I.) driven by three elements:
The cost of an inspection and report is a fraction of the cost of a potential failure. Any incident which causes failure will incur additional costs in terms of consequential loss and possibly injury or loss of life , also repair downtimes.
Regular inspections provide insurance underwriters with a better insight into your true fire risk which often results in improved insurance coverage and lower premiums.
As well as offering an independent thermographic inspection, we also report on any physical problems that pose additional risk to electrical safety and O.H. & S.
